The 'loan waiver card ' , the trick to lure farmers, has been played. ~Preet In an attempt to snatch the farmers' votes, the UP Congress General Secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, in the Congress election manifesto called the 'Unnati Vidhan', which was released on February 9th, 2022, in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, promised to waive the loans of the farmers within 10 days of coming into power. She also promised to bring about a scheme to bring in order the stray cattle issue. Other than this she said to put in place a sub quota for OBC- communities and to give the position of Home Minister to a Dalit. The loan waiver promise has been the prime marketing strategy of political parties to keep farmers on their side and yet again the same trick has been played in the ongoing assembly election of Uttar Pradesh and that of other states. The Interim reports of J&K delimitation sparks political debates in the state. ~Preet On February 4th 2022, the Delimitation Commission of Jammu and Kashmir presented the interim report of the J&K delimitation draft. It proposed restructuring of many Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies in Kashmir. Herein, six more seats have been added to Jammu and one more seat has been added to the Kashmir division. After the submission of the report, the commission provided the associate members with time till 14th of February 2022 to submit their objections. The associate members of the delimitation commission received the report and there seems to be a conflict of ideas. Of the associate members of the Delimitation Commission, three MP's are of the National Conference (NC) and two are from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). "Take it all free": The illusions, the realities and the concerns of Supreme Court. ~Preet From the very first day, this year has been painted in politics and has seen more rallies campaigns than days. The reason being, assembly elections in 8 states, which are, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa, Manipur, Himachal Pradesh, Gujrat and Jammu & Kashmir. The various political parties, to lure the voters are once again shooting unrealistic promises on en-masse, the shower of freebies promised by the parties certainly seems to be unrealistic, But this time, the Supreme Court is in a mood to take strict action against it. The Supreme Court on Tuesday called for a response from the federal government and the Election Commission of India (ECI) on the ongoing "tamasha" of a political party that promises or distributes "irrational gifts" using public funds. Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana, judge A.S. Bopanna and Heema Kohli informed the Cente
