These talks came after a 5 hour long meeting of Macron with the Russian President Vladmir Putin, held in Moscow on 7th of February 2022, over the same issue.

After the conclusion of both the official conversations, in a clique Macron affirmed the possibility of resolution of conflicts between Russia and Ukraine via talks agreements. He also noted that if the issue is straightened out, the tensions that persist between the Western Nations and Russia, if not settled, can be abated as well.

But the intensity of the issue and that there are difficulties in resolving this affair was also hinted by the French President Macron. He said, "We can not underestimate the moment of tension that we are living through", he added, "We can not resolve this crisis in a few hours of talks, it will be the day and the weeks and the months to come which will allow us to progress."

Before heading towards Berlin to conduct talks with the representatives of Germany and Poland, French President Macron said, "Mr. Putin has told him that Russia would not be the source of escalation in the situation." Albeit this claim form Russia seems to be illegitimate one since it has amassed more than

1,00,000 troops and military hardware on the Russia Ukraine Border.

Mr. Zelensky is in hope that the meeting with high ranking officials could lead to a Summit between the leaders of Russia, France and Germany where they could possibly work out to find the solutions and bring the conditions to status quo.

Mr. Putin is still firm on his stand that it does not intend to threaten the tranquility of the region and abhors the interruptions of NATO and USA and calls it the main reason for alleviation of the issue which according to him is non existing in the first place.

After talks with Mr. Macron on 7th of February, Mr. Putin said that he (French President) came up with various proposals that could form the basis of further steps.

Mr. Putin demanded to bar Ukraine from joining NATO and pulling back alliance forces from Eastern Europe. To which the French Presidency, on behalf of Mr. Macron replied with a counter proposal demanding  that neither Ukraine nor Russia take any new military action, that both engage in a dialogue to resolve the issue and put in efforts to restore peace. He also asked for an agreement wherein it would be ensured that Russia withdraws about 30,000 Russian soldiers from Belarus after the Joint Military Exercise later this month.

The Russian government is insisting that it has no ill intention behind amassing troops and is firmly standing with it and not reducing military conjugation, on the other hand Ukraine, backed by the western nations, is no willing to compromise.

Now the future of this issue seems to be in fog given the rigidity of the parties involved.
