India saw a financial downtrend like never before. The government kept on extending the restriction, and Indians saw the longest lockdown in a row, and there were constant concerns and protests about the loss of livelihoods and crumbling economy of the nation. These concerns were tried to be extinguished by the claims of a 'K' shaped recovery. Parakram Divas: Paying homage to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 125th Birth Anniversary. ~Preet The man of utter strength and unmatched will power who was courageous enough to decide to take on one of the strongest military power on the globe in the contemporary, head on. The man who was not afraid of death and rather moved ahead to write his own fate with his charm, merit and guts. This man is none other than Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and no wonder we celebrate the birth anniversary of this strong and influential leader as 'Parakram Divas', the day to honour and learn bravery, endurance, firmness and fearlessness. To pay homage to him and recognise his contribution, the government recently decided to install a grand statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at India Gate. This is to commemorate his 125th birth anniversary. The government would be conducting a year long celebration in memory of Netaji. The Flame Of Amar Jawan Jyoti now glows with that of the National War Memorial. ~Preet In an unexpected move, the Government decided to shift the historic Amar Jawan Jyoti and merged it with the war memorial flame. This iconic monument was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi after the 1971 Liberation War Of Bangladesh. This monument stood as the living memory of all the brave Indian soldiers who were martyred in that war. This Amar Jawan Jyoti was shifted to the War Memorial on 21st of January 2022. This move of the Central Government aggravated the congress veterans who stepped up and registered protests. Some went ahead to claim that the Jyoti has been extinguished by the dictum, to which those in defence claimed that the Jyoti is not put off, rather it is merged with the National War Memorial.
